Privacy Policy for Tatscale
Tatscale (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Tatscale (“the developer”). This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices. We keep this deliberately short and plain.
Summary
- You can use the app as a guest without giving us any personal data.
- If you sign in, we store your email address, your name if you share it, an account ID, and a count of how many exports you have used.
- You sign in with Sign in with Apple or a one-time code sent to your email.
- We do not sell your data, show third-party ads, use analytics or tracking tools, or track you across other apps or websites.
- Your stencils, designs, and print settings stay on your device.
What we collect
Account information. If you sign in, we store:
- Your email address — either one you type in, or the email provided by Sign in with Apple. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose “Hide My Email,” we only receive Apple’s private relay address.
- Your name, if you share it (for example through Sign in with Apple).
- A unique account identifier used to recognise you across sessions and devices.
Export count. We store the number of exports you have used, so the free trial works across reinstalls and devices. We store only the number, never the files you export.
Sign in with Apple token. If you sign in with Apple, we store a token issued by Apple. It is used only to disconnect Tatscale from your Apple Account when you delete your account.
You can use the app as a guest without providing any of this. Guests can design freely but need to sign in to export or print.
Purchase information. If you subscribe, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We do not see or store your payment details. Your subscription status is checked with Apple on your device and is not sent to our servers.
Your designs stay local. Imported images, stencils, guides, grids, and print/export settings are stored on your device only. We do not upload, view, or store your artwork.
How we use your information
- To provide account login and keep you signed in.
- To run the free trial by counting your exports.
- To send you product updates, tips, and offers if you opted in by providing your email. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers to operate the app:
- Apple — for Sign in with Apple and subscription billing.
- Supabase — to securely store your account information and export count.
- Resend — to deliver the one-time sign-in codes we email you.
These providers process data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: open the menu (top left), go to your account pane, and tap Delete account. This permanently deletes your email, name, account ID and export count, and disconnects Sign in with Apple. You can also request deletion by emailing us (see below).
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple in Settings.
Your choices
- Use as a guest — provide no personal data at all.
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time.
- Delete your account in the app, or request deletion by emailing us.
Children
Tatscale is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version.
